About CodexCreator

CodexCreator is a free, no-account character generator built for fiction authors, tabletop RPG game masters, and worldbuilders. Every character sheet is generated instantly from hundreds of data entries per field — no AI, no waiting, no generic results.

Each generator uses a phoneme-based naming system that produces linguistically consistent names rather than random letter combinations. Appearance stats are tied to racial physiology — a Halfling and a Goliath won't share a height range. Backstories are built from template and fragment systems that produce unique, readable prose every roll.

Select a character role — Protagonist, Antagonist, or NPC — to shape what gets generated. Protagonists get richer backstories and more personality depth; antagonists get an agenda and method; NPCs get a short two-sentence background and a functional purpose. Use the preference filters to constrain any generation: need a female gnome between 30 and 40 who's a wizard? Set those filters and every roll respects them.
